nymphs finding the head of orpheus - nicole dollanganger
(11.6.25 - 10pm - post breakdown ayyy) my freshman year anthem..the entire year could be explained with just this song augh it hurts so hgood.. as im writing this im having like a horrible breakdown or whatever this happens alot but i cant help thinking of this song and how it made me feel. the bus ride home with this in my ears made me feel some sort of peace or emptiness that is so unique and noteworthy to my life..kinda just one of those feelings that can only be remebered by one single trigger. the instrumental itself feels like a warm summer afternoon itself -- the same time of day i'd be listening to it..#1 nicole dollanganger song fs
poison tree - grouper
(11.6.25 - 10pm - also post breakdown ayyy) my lullaby this is my absolute #1 song out of the thousands ive listened to it's engraned in my soul. i have so much to say about this song but only when im in the moment listening to it. it's probably the most beautiful song ive ever heard...so much love for grouper
misuse oh - ethel cain
(11.6.25 - 10pm - also also post breakdown ayyy i was so worn out the day after from all that crying i could barely keep my eyes open)
"i told you from the start/i disappear when it gets cold"
"i'm sorry i went crazy/i just thought i'd let you know"
most relatable lyrics probably ever for me...i love this song dearly, it's my favorite ethel cain song. the title itself
seems so clever to me and sort of feels like it ties the kind of story this song is telling. i sort of interpret "misuse oh" as
the misuse of some sort of substance (hence the mention of being "drunk in the road") and then it also sounding like
"i miss you so" makes it more heartbreaking...maybe im stating the obvious ill smbau lawl
